The Magic Roundabout Carousel by Corgi Toys
This is the Magic Roundabout Carousel, reference number 852 by Corgi Toys, issued in 1972-74 to tie in with the hugely
popular children's TV programme of the time.
Standing approximately 7 inches tall, the beautiful large-size roundabout is brightly coloured in red, yellow and blue,
with four horses and five figures from the Magic Roundabout gang:
- Florence
- Basil
- Rosalie
- Paul
They all sit on the horses, and Dylan the rabbit, who stands on the red control knob, which you wind up to see the
roundabout gently go round as the familiar theme tune plays from a music box mounted in the base.

This particular model was sold on ebay by George's Good Stuff in February 2011 for £425.00 in the following
condition:
This fantastic investment piece is an absolutely superb and very hard to find Corgi Toys 852 The Magic
Roundabout Carousel, all original model and original box, complete with all the inner packing pieces.
Perfect complete fully-working examples like this are getting very hard to track down anywhere these days, and finding one
in its near-perfect original box with all the inner packing is virtually impossible. I doubt you'll see another one as good
as this for quite some time, and this is your golden chance to acquire this wonderful investment piece for your
collection... don't miss out!
Model condition - mint perfect, all the pieces are in place and all the figures are present and correct,
and the roundabout is fully working, with musical chimes playing that familiar theme tune as the roundabout slowly rotates
with the happy characters all on board; it's an absolute beauty, an outstanding example of a very hard to find Corgi model,
quite simply the best you will ever find anywhere 10/10
Box condition - the large size colour card box is pretty much perfect, just showing some light traces of
wear and the odd crease, but all 100% complete, very crisp, clean and bright, with beautiful strong straight edges and all
flaps and tabs intact - it is virtually impossible to find this box in this outstanding condition these days 9.5/10
Extras - the box has both pieces of original inner packing, the circular corrugated piece that sits round
the roundabout, and an extra protective piece that sits over the top - so everything that was there when it was originally
first sold is all present and correct... when or where will you ever find one as good as this? 10/10
