This particular model was sold on ebay by George's Good Stuff in June 2006 for £253 in the following condition:
This beautiful and very rare TV-sci fi classic model is in stunning mint perfect condition, I can’t find a mark on it anywhere - it’s a fantastic example of this gorgeous and hard to find sci-fi model!
Everything here is working perfectly - it all clicks back into place and the rocket travels some distance when fired, confirming that all springs are intact and perfect.
This wonderful heavyweight model comes in its equally superb original box, which apart from a small surface price label tear on one end flap is showing only the lightest age wear, overall very clean, crisp, bright and all 100 per cent intact - very nice indeed!
Also present and making this rare item complete is the original inner brown card packing with the warning on the side to be careful when firing the rocket, plus the original instructions sheet.
All in all this is a fantastic example of a very rare first issue Gerry Anderson sci-fi collectible from the early 1970s - I haven’t seen any as good as this recently, they are very rarely, if ever, offered in this complete virtually perfect condition... and complete original boxes like this are as rare as gold dust! Definitely an investment for the serious collector - don’t miss out!
