Excellent Condition

The body is not very shiny 

The car has been thoroughly cleaned and serviced* and is fitted with:

New rear tyres.

New decals

New contact braids

The Vanwall has been fully tested and runs perfectly.

 The Body.

The body is stripped and soaked in a mild detergent until all the dirt and grease is removed. It is then placed in a sterilization solution to remove and kill any fungus caused by long spells in attics etc. Repairs are carried out and new parts fitted. The driver has any loose flakes of paint removed and is touched up.

The body is polished and new decals fitted if required.

The wheels and axles

The wheels are removed and soaked in a mild detergent until all the dirt and grease is removed. They are checked for damage and replaced if required.

The axles are cleaned with a spray de-greaser and if badly rusted sanded with wet and dry paper. Any brass work is polished.

The gears are cleaned with a spray de-greaser and checked for damage and replaced if required.

Components are lightly oiled as necessary.

The motor (RX Type)

The motor is stripped and any faulty parts are replaced. The frame cleaned of dust and grease as far as possible. Specifically the  armature, commutator segments of the armature, the contact brushes, brush spring and all connections are cleaned and if necessary sanded to provide an excellent contact surface.

The motor is reassembled and tested.

Components are lightly oiled as necessary.

New pick up braids and rear tyres are fitted. The car is polished again and finally track tested.

It is then ready to race!!
