Corgi

Corgi toys started making toys back in 1956 and are still going strong today. They started production with the British saloon car range that included the Ford Consul and Austin Cambridge among others and haven't looked back since.

Corgi toys have produced some of the most popular model cars to date. The reason Corgi are so popular is partly due to the detail of their models. Corgi made many of their cars with opening bonnets, boots and doors.
Other more specialised models were packed with gadgets such as the Batmobile, Corgi ref 267 with the spring loaded cutter in the bonnet, firing rocket launcher and flames from the rear jet that moved when the wheels turned!
Another classic was the James Bond DB5 Corgi ref 261 with a spring loaded rear bullet screen and ejector seat that launched its passenger high in the air!

Corgi have made a wide range of toys over the years including cars, commercial vehicles, film models, farm yard sets, aeroplanes and many more.
