Chipperfields Circus Animal Cage by Corgi Toys

Chipperfields Circus Animal Cage ref1123 by Corgi Toys from 1962.
This model was made up of a red cage on a yellow trailer base with metal bars, sliding blue doors and came complete with two polar bears.

This particular model was sold on ebay by George's Good Stuff in June 2006 for £51 in the following condition:
This early circus item is in stunning virtually mint perfect condition - there are one or two very tiny specks on the odd corner edge, but this is being really picky, as this looks like it has never been played with, it is definitely the best I’ve seen yet of this great circus collectable, and it comes in its equally superb complete original box with lift-off lid which is very bright, crisp, clean and 100 per cent original and intact - very nice indeed!
Also present and completing the set are the rare original typewritten description insert, the correct early Join The Corgi Model Club leaflet, plus both unapplied Polar Bears side transfers, plus the original plastic bag which the two bears came in and the original piece of white inner card packing - it's all there, everything that would have been present when you bought this at a toy shop nearly 45 years ago.
Overall this is a fantastic example of one of Corgi's original early 1960s first issue Chipperfields Circus models range, and definitely one for the serious collector.
