London Passenger Transport Gift Set by Corgi Toys

This particular model was sold on ebay by George's Good Stuff in October 2006 for £805 in the following condition:
Both these models are in perfect condition, there isn't a flaw on on either of them - they are definitely the best examples I've seen anywhere.
This beautiful original first issue set is one of the more difficult to find of the great Corgi Gift Sets from the 1960s - I can't recall when I last saw one offered, and certainly not in this great condition, and it is sure to be a prized asset for the winner that will only increase in value.
They both display beautifully on the inner picture tray and is overall in virtually mint condition, showing hardly any age wear at all, with no tears, creases or damage of any kind whatsoever, and virtually all the original inner 'punchout' pieces of card still in place in the wheel slots - absolutely wonderful!
And of course standing in position on his white base is the original policeman figure with his arms raised, directing the traffic.
The whole set comes in its complete original outer box, which is showing a little overall light age wear, but is overall strong, crisp, clean and 100 per cent complete, with all flaps present and intact, showing no graffiti, creasing or labels of any kind whatsoever, just an original 15/- price written in pencil on one end flap - very nice indeed!
Overall a fantastic and very rarely offered gift set - in fact, in five years of trading I've not seen a better one anywhere... which is why I bought it for myself! However, it has got to go, so don't miss out on this very rare opportunity to acquire a top quality antique collectible that can only increase in value over the years!
