Slot carsSlot car racing, if you don't already know is based on a simple design concept of a plastic track(for home circuits) or wooden track(for proffessional circuits) with metal slotted runners and cars with pickup guide that runs in the slot on the track and passed the power to and electric motor geared to the cars wheels. It's simplicity is partly what makes it such a popular hobby. Slot car racing has been getting more and more popular over the past 40+ years with many new slot car manufacturers entering the marketsplace. The manufacturersScalextric started the slot racing bug back in the 1960's with relatively simple cars.

Which ones to chooseThe best way to choose your next purchase is to have a look at what's available from the different slot car manufacturers. The Slot Car SectionWe started the slot car section in January 2006 with a subsection for the mighty Scalextric with just one car, the Scalextric Capri C300 with flames. Since then we've added some early Scalextric Aston Martins and Jaguars. These slot cars really helped to make slot car racing what it is today. Towards the end of January 2006 we added the rereleased versions of the Scalextric Ferrari 156 and the Scalextric Cooper Climax T53. New sections for Ninco and Carrera were added at the beginning of March 2006.
