Power and Glory Mini Cooper by Scalextric

Scalextric have produced many version of the Mini over the years and this one is probably the most classic of all. It was finished in British Racing Green with a chequered white roof which was a classic British colour scheme of the 1960's era.

This version of the Scalextric Mini was very lightweight due to having an open floor pan, coupled with the small diameter wheels, this little Mini accelerated very quickly from a standing start.
It didn't however corner very well due to the height and narrow body. Latter versions of this mini were fitted with a magnatraction magnet to help keep it on the track.
This Scalextric Mini is great fun to race due to it's excellent acceleration and the skill required to keep it on the track around corners. A must for any retro Scalextric racer.
